A baroque affair

Mission: Find a European-style mansion in the middle of Cincinnati.
Versailles, Ohio
Uche wished for their garden ceremony to convey a sense of opulence, so we created this beautiful floral installation as well as other arrangements including table runners of fresh greenery and white blooms.

We worked with Uche and Ugo to incorporate many Nigerian customs into the traditional American wedding while paying close attention to the overall upscale feel that they wanted to convey.
A warm summer day turned into an incredible evening under the stars, dinner and dancing under twinkling lights, and the historic mansion—modeled in the style of the Petite Trianon palace in Versailles—as the most magnificent backdrop.
The end result was everything Uche and Ugo wanted and more. And their guests, many of whom traveled from Africa, were treated to a magnificent affair that was well worth the journey.

We met Uche and Ugo during the setup day for one of our events, and right away it became evident that our connection was more than just by chance. During our planning phase, we learned how important it was to them that we blended both American and Nigerian traditions to honor their families, while crafting an experience that truly transported their guests.
Uche adores the romantic ambiance of French garden parties. And, so we were tasked with finding a venue with a true Continental flair. While this might sound like a challenge to some, we get our thrills hunting for the perfect venue. In this case, it felt like discovering a bubble trapped in time amid the hustle and bustle of urban Cincinnati.

Guests were welcomed to a gorgeous tent with twinkle lights, a large white bar, and beautiful tabletop designs with tall candlesticks, floral centerpieces and custom menu cards.

Loads of fresh white hydrangeas, garden roses and ranunculus, plus a mix of greenery brought this Southern wedding to life.

Carrie and Brian came to us primed with a venue and a vision. Their personality distinctive shined through in a refined and sophisticated way. After our initial site tour, we knew working with them was going to be a blast!
We started by creating their invitation suite and then carried that same design through to the menu cards, table numbers, and on to the floral arrangements. Natural greenery made the fresh white blooms really stand out. To ground the large white tent, we chose soft green linens, complemented by tasteful gold accents for an extra touch of elegance.
The end result? A garden setting so enchanting, it would entice anyone to be a guest. An unforgettable event unfolded—a relaxed yet upscale experience for 150 friends and family.

Carrie and Brian were originally planning to tie the knot in Charleston, South Carolina, but their hearts kept pulling them back to Louisville, Kentucky, the city where their love story began. Captivated by the Southern charm of this city, they wanted to share this special place with their guests.
Enter Brazen Events! We seamlessly integrated some of their favorite elements, featuring a dedicated bourbon bar and passing around mini Hot Browns. Every detail was carefully considered and beautifully executed.
